Pullman (the dark strip just below the horizon) is nestled among the rolling hills of the Palouse, viewed here from nearby Kamiak Butte. (Yes, this is the same photo used at the beginning of the WSU tour, but don't worry: the rest is different.)

This is a college town so throughly dominated by its college (Washington State University) that my daughter reported that in her elementary school class new kids were asked not what their parents did for a living, but what department they were in.

Created by Paul Brians without use of any WSU resources; not an official Web site of Washington State University.
