One more mile north you'll see an obscure gravel road going off to the left up a hill. That's the entrance to the park, but it's on a blind curve, so be very cautious making the turn. You won't find this map until you've gotten far into the park, but there is a welcome sign and small parking area just a short distance inside.

The park consists mainly of a single gravel road winding just below the crest of the hills it encloses. It's a narrow thread of a park, but it offers beautiful views, and the feel of plunging into a real forest. There are a few hiking trails whose entrances are well marked. This is not a place you could get lost in very easily.

You may be tempted to make a loop via DeSmet Road back to Highway 95, but this road is utterly unmaintained and consists largely of potholes connected with brief strips of pavement. You're a lot better off turning around inside the park and going back out the way you came.
