WSU Library Instruction

Corey Johnson

Corey Johnson received a B.S. in Secondary Education from Montana State University in 1994. He taught high school social studies for five years before entering library school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received an M.S.L.S. in the spring of 2002.

Corey works in the Research Services Unit of the Libraries with the title Head, Library Instruction Team. His current set of responsibilities and projects include:

• Managing the operations of the WSU Library Instruction Team
• Helping with the design and maintenance of the Instruction Team's online tutorials and Web site
• Teaching classes and facilitating other instructional liaison activities with campus programs including: World Civilizations and English Composition
• Teaching UCOLL 300 - the Libraries' information literacy course
• Coordinating K-12 education and outreach
• Working at the Holland and Terrell Libraries Reference Desk
• Representing the Libraries on the All University Writing Committee and to the University College
• Participating in professional continuing education opportunities and conducting research for publication and presentation
