Corey Johnson received a B.S. in Secondary Education from Montana State University in 1994. He taught high school social studies for five years before entering library school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received an M.S.L.S. in the spring of 2002.

Corey works in the Library Instruction Department with the title Head of Library Instruction. His current set of responsibilities and projects include:

• Managing the operations of the WSU Library Instruction Department
• Designing and maintaining the Instruction Department's online tutorials
• Serving as webmaster for the Instruction Department's Web Site
• Teaching classes and facilitating other instructional liaison activities with campus programs including: Freshman Seminar, World Civilizations, and English Composition
• Teaching Gen Ed 300 - the Libraries' information literacy course
• Coordinating K-12 education and outreach
• Providing collection development for the Information Literacy Professional Collection
