Technical Services Help Desk

Technical Services works to select, acquire, organize, process, and provide access to information resources. Our goal is quality customer service as we carry out our responsibilities to:

  • Search, order, receive, claim, and pay for all library materials
  • Monitor fund expenditures and track statistics
  • Provide descriptions and access information for all library material in Search It, the WSU discovery interface
  • Prepare materials to be shelved in the libraries' collections
  • Process documents received as part of the US Federal and Washington State library Depository Programs
  • Record receipt of print periodical and newspapers, provide links to electronic resources and process library materials to be bound
  • Acquire and manage serial publications in all formats and all electronic resources
  • Process serials in all formats including print, electronic, and microform: check-in, claiming, binding, linking, access, and troubleshooting
