Roots/Libraries Program

The Library Instruction Team helped develop, and is currently aiding students in the completion of, a standardized Research Assignment for all Roots of Contemporary Issues (HIST 105) students.  The assignment, which is divided into five three-week parts, asks students to discover a variety of primary and secondary sources and write a paper.

UCOLL 300 Offerings Expanded

In addition to the 16-week (full semester) WSU Online section of UCOLL 300 (Accessing Information for Research), the Libraries are now offering eight week sessions.  In addition, the Libraries have started making the course available during the summer as well.  Learn more at the UCOLL 300 web page.

Classes on Demand

Classes on Demand is a program sponsored by the WSU Libraries that allows small groups of WSU Pullman students, staff or faculty to request and schedule research workshops or productivity/social tools workshops taught by WSU librarians.  There are over 20 workshops offered, everything from Academic Social Networking to Zotero.  Schedule a session today!

Library Instruction Session Database (LISD)

The Library Instruction Team, working in cooperation with the Library Assessment Team, have created the LISD for library instruction sessions.  The database has improved our ability to gather and analyze teaching data.  For example, we are now getting a better understanding of the reach of our instructional efforts across the Pullman campus and discovering how information literacy skills impact GPAs and retention.
