Pullman (the dark strip just below the horizon) is nestled among the rolling hills of the Palouse. Some folks think when they've arrived that they're "in the middle of nowhere," but this little tour is meant to show you some of the more visually interesting aspects of the home of Washington State University.
The first point to grasp is that WSU is nowhere near Seattle. Forget about the forested Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound. You can't get here by ferry. We're located on the opposite side of the state, a few miles from the Idaho border.(And for you folks from even farther away, we're in Washington STATE, just north of Oregon. Washington D.C. is a different place entirely, on the other side of the country.)
