Tour of Uniontown

Twenty minutes south of Pullman on Highway 195 (South Grand Avenue) lies the little hamlet of Uniontown. Be careful to observe the speed limit on the way here, especially when you pass through its neighbor city, Colton, just around a bend in the road from Uniontown. Colton is worth a visit around Christmastime when the whole town is extravagantly lit up with decorative lights.

Many people pass through on their way to Lewiston and Clarkston without noticing the unusual combination of city hall, fire station, and library. This tiny town has a remarkably lively civic life.

On the first Sunday in March, thousands gather here for the annual sausage feed, and in August there's a big flea market (phone 509-229-3500 for more information about that).
