We traveled north through the park to the other end of the highway at the much larger and more developed village of Tofino, filled with tourist shops--and tourists. A good place to shop for Native American art, but we preferred the peace and natural beauty of Ucluelet (though that town is now also growing quickly).

But we enjoyed our lunch at the classic 60s-style Common Loaf Bake Shop, which also supplied breakfast bread to our B&B. We ate in the tower.
