Although many community events are held here, the most popular is the Renaissance Fair, held on the first weekend in May. There's little of the Renaissance about it; it's basically a folk and crafts fair, but a good one, with vendors coming from far away to offer their wares. Live music is offered continuously throughout the fair. Note the trees blocking the stage from certain angles when you're choosing your seat.

The weather can be dicey this time of year. These Maypole dancers are cheerful despite being all bundled up.
