Klemgard Park is a nice little getaway near Pullman offering a large picnic shelter, baseball and volleyball facilities, and a short hillside woodsy hiking path. It makes a great place to go for a day trip, especially in the summer.

The most direct route there is to take Highway 195 north out of Pullman toward Colfax for about nine miles, and look for a pair of signs, one pointing right toward Albion and the other pointing left toward Klemgard via Hamilton Hill Road. Three miles later, turn right onto the gravel road marked "Upper Union Flat Road." The park is easily visible from the turn, on the left-hand side of the road.
