Maps and Atlases in the Owen Science and Engineering Library
The Owen Library contains many maps and atlases for students and
faculty, including US Geological Survey topographic maps, US Forest
Service maps, and National Park service maps. If you have any questions
not answered on the WSU Libraries website, please contact Owen Library Reference and a librarian will assist you.
GIS Facilities
Library Catalog
GRIFFIN Library Catalog
includes the holdings for the WSU Libraries, in Pullman and across the
state. Please note: Electronic journals and other 'virtual'
publications are included in the catalog. The library is also a member
of the Summit Catalog, a
union catalog that allows students and faculty at WSU to search for and
borrow books owned by 33 libraries in Oregon and Washington at no cost
to the library user. There are over 27 million items in the Summit
Catalog.
Owen Map Room, 3rd floor
- Maps are indexed in the GRIFFIN Library Catalog. From the Griffin main page, click on the button for "advanced search." From the advanced search page it is possible to limit your search to "MAP/GIS DATA." You may also want to restrict your search to location "WSU Owen."
- USGS Topographic Maps
are available for 12 western states: Alaska, Arizona, California,
Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington
and Wyoming. Indices for these states are available in the Map
Room, and the Index to USGS Topographic Maps is also available online.

Owen Reference-Atlases, 1st Floor
The Owen Reference-Atlas collection is located on the first floor near
the entrance to the Library. Additional atlases can be found in
Owen Reference, in the Owen general collection, and in the Owen Atlas
collection on the third floor.
