Czech schoolchildren studied family records, archival materials, and interviewed local Holocaust survivors in conducting their research. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color=#000000&gt;Originally conceived in 2000, the exhibit gives a voice to those who were murdered during the Holocaust, bringing the tragedies suffered by the Czech Jewish Settlement to light, on a highly personal level. &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color=#000000&gt;The exhibit will be on display in the Terrell Library Atrium, during regular library hours, from October 15th to November 21st, 2007. An Opening Reception will be held at 3 pm on Friday, November 9th, in commemoration of Kristallnacht. Dr. Wes Leid of the WSU Honors College will be speaking at this event. During the fall semester (2007), we explored the methods employed in the growing interdisciplinary field of Book History for understanding the creation, marketing, reception, and preservation of texts. While people often think of rare books in terms of monetary valuethat is, how much a book might have cost to acquirewe came to discover that there are deeper and more complex ways of understanding how much a text is worth.
