Project Description: This project aims to locate or develop locally a solution to challenges inherent in collecting library data. The resulting solution will replace a collection of linked spreadsheets currently in use facilitating ARL reporting.

Considerations for solutions should address the following:

  1. Create a central location for entering raw data in the field (e.g. gate counts) and processed data from the Data Officer (e.g. FY expenditures)
  2. Enhance the visibility of relationships between data collected
  3. Ability to create consistent forms across the institution to assist in ensuring data consistency and comparability
  4. Have the ability to query data and metadata
  5. Ability to present data to all library employees, to facilitate data informed decision making
