Located on the ground floor of the
Holland/New Library (on the south end next to the grand piano), Media Materials
& Reserves (MM&R) houses over 30,000 items in a variety of media formats.
Our on-site viewing and listening facility features individual carrels, two
4-person Listening/Viewing Labs, and two 25-person Theaters.
In our multimedia area, we provide 2 IBM-platform computers for multimedia
use and production, scanning, photo-imaging, and text recognition. For the
University community, our self-service multimedia computers are free of charge.
Color printing is available on-site for a nominal sum.
We have recently added an IBM-platform computer for government document CD-ROMs
and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). (See http://www.wsulibs.wsu.edu/govdoc/gis.htm
for more information).
We provide media for classroom instruction, for local borrowers, for use via
Academic Media Services, to our branch campuses, and to borrowers through our rental program
throughout the Northwest and the United States.
Our collections have been added to the Libraries' catalog, Griffin. From this
web site, our holdings may be searched as a special "scoped" location, containing
ONLY MM&R holdings.
For further details about our operation, please feel free to peruse the categories
below as well the rest of this web site. Again, welcome to MM&R!
