Search It!@WSU Tutorials

Search It!@WSU is the Library's new tool for locating electronic indexes, databases, and articles. Search It!@WSU maintains the options you're familiar with, and provides a new federated search option which expands search capabilities. Federated searching allows for simultaneous searching of multiple databases through one interface. What this means is that you can now search in one place to find all the "stuff" you're looking for. We call this option Cross Search

  • If you want to select a journal that is available electronically that you know the title of try one of the E-Journal options.

  • If you want to search across multiple databases or a bunch of places at once take a look at one of the Cross Searchoptions.

  • If you don't know the names of any databases or places to look but you know the general subject or discipline of your topic try one of the Databases by Subject options.

  • If you know the name of the database you want to search but don't know how to find it try one of the Databases A-Zoptions. This interface replaces the old drop down menu for searching by title.
