GRIFFIN Library Catalog The library catalog includes holdings for all the WSU Library sites, in Pullman and across the state. Please note: Electronic journals and other 'virtual' publications are included in the catalog.
Indexes, Abstracts and Other Databases
- America: History, and Life: Contains citations to journals, books, reviews, and dissertations related to the colonization of America (15th century)-present.
Anthropological Literature: Provides access to journal articles and essays from the 19th century to the present.
Ethnic Newswatch: A full-text collection of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. A rich collection of articles, editorials, columns, reviews, etc. that provide a broad diversity of perspectives and viewpoints. Dates of coverage vary - usually from early to mid-1990's to the present.
HRAF - Ethnography: Provides full-text access to selected ethnographic resources dealing with cultures from around the world.
- Sociological Abstracts: A First Search database containing citations with abstracts to articles on all aspects of sociology, social work, and other social sciences. It covers from 1963-present.

Electronic Journals
WSU Lists its electronic journal holdings in two locations. First, electronic journals can be found by searching by
title in the library's catalog.
References to electronic journals in the Griffin catalog have hypertext links to the electronic journal themselves or the
database that contains that electronic journal. The second place to look to check to see if the library has a subscription
to an electronic journal is on the WSU Electronic Journals list.

- JSTOR: JSTOR contains 117 journals, many of which have an ethnic focus.

: Part of the Internet Public Library. It can be browsed by author, title or tribal affiliation.
- Native American Constitution and Law Digitization Project: This site offers access to the full texts of selected legal documents. Among these are Constitutions, Tribal Codes, Charters, Indian Land Titles, and summaries of recent US Supreme Court cases that have involved or affected Native Americans. The holding are currently rather limited but should expand over time.
NativeTech: Native American Technology and Art: Extensive information on native technologies and art. The focus of the site is on the Eastern Woodlands cultures.
The Society for the Study of the Indigenous Languages of the Americas (SSILA): Sponsored by the Native American Language Center at the University of California-Davis, the SSILA's site serves as a superb resource for those studying Indigenous American languages. The site features a searchable comprehensive listing of articles on American Indian Languages in more than 100 journals from 1988 to the present; a Dissertation & Thesis Index, publishing abstracts of over 200 dissertations and theses on American Indian languages and related topics; a searchable database of notices and reviews for over 650 relevant books; an extensive and briefly annotated directory of Internet links for additional research; and a catalog of language learning materials, including ordering information, available for over 200 North American Indian languages.

Multilingual Multicultural Research: This Center is at the University
of Southern California and its foci are multilingual education,
English-as-a second language, and foreign language instruction,
multicultural education and related areas. The Site Index in the
left side frame provides access to articles and other resources
arranged by topic and by cultural group.
