Library Catalog
GRIFFIN Library Catalog The library catalog includes holdings for all the WSU Library sites, in Pullman and across the state. Please note: electronic journals and other 'virtual' publications are included in the catalog.
Indexes, Abstracts and Other Databases
For a more comprehensive listing, select "Article Indexes/E-Journals" from the WSU Libraries homepage. View the "Databases by Subject" pull-down menu, and select the appropriate business topic. You may also find helpful resources in the section labeled "General & Multidisciplinary."
- ABInform (Dateline, Global, Trade and Industry): Index of over 1000 business and economics journals with 500 in full text including charts and graphics.
- Global Market Information Database (GMID): Provides key business intelligence on countries, companies, markets and comsumers. Covers over 350 markets and 207 countries.
- Lexis-Nexis Academic : Contains a wide variety of business information, including news articles from major national and international newspapers and business periodicals, and company, industry, and legal information.
- STAT-USA: (in-library access only) Includes US economic statistics and other selected information from government agency sources; international trade statistics from the National Trade Data Bank; and market and country research.
- EconLit: Indexes major journals in Economics. Article citations indicate availability of journal in WSU Libraries collection.
- Social Sciences Citation Index: Part of the Web of Knowledge, it is a multidisciplinary database, searchable by author, title, abstract, or citation. It covers the journal literature of the social sciences and indexes more than 1,725 journals spanning 50 disciplines from 1996-present. Electronic Journals
There are two primary ways to gain access to WSU electronic journals. The first is to search GRIFFIN for the title of a specific journal, and then select the hypertext link; this will lead either to the journal itself or to the database containing the journal. The second is to select "Article Indexes/E-Journals" from the WSU Libraries home page; in the section labeled "Electronic Journals," search or browse for the journal title.
Two major databases containing full-text journal articles in Business are:
- Science Direct. Search or browse full-text of journals.
- ProQuest Direct. Search or browse full-text of journals and news sources. Includes ABI/Inform, a business database, and the full text of the Wall Street Journal.

- Annual Report Gallery: Online annual reports for many publicly traded companies.
- Bizjournals.com: Regional business news from American City Business Journals
- Bizstats: Especially useful for research on small business topics.
- Bizweb: Companies categorized by goods and services.
- Business Plan Archive. Real business plans available free, going back to the birth of the dot com era.
- CNNfn: CNN Financial Network (news).
- Edgar Database of Corporate Information (SEC): Company filings online. Another site for searching 10k reports: 10K Wizard.
- Hoover's Online: Company and industry information, financial news. A more complete version of Hoover's is available through Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe.
- Center for Women's Business Research: One especially useful feature of this resource is the "Links to Sites" section, an extensive listing of associations, companies, and agencies.
- Yahoo Finance. Free company, industry, stock and personal finance information.
