The Collection:

Professor Paul Brians took the 499 photographs in this collection during a trip to Turkey in 2002. Highlights of the collection include the Classical cities of Aphrodisias, Ephesus, and Phaselis, as well as views of Istanbul and Konya (the birthplace of the 13th-century Sufi poet and founder of the whirling derivishes, Celaleddin Rumi). For a fuller description of the trip, please see Prof. Brians’ photo tour.
