Elk River Falls

Two hours' drive east of Moscow is Elk River Falls in the Clearwater National Forest, where scenic trails and picnic facilities provide a nice day-trip. Take the Troy Road east until it becomes Highway 8 and follow the signs through Troy, Deary and Bovill. It is sometimes more modestly called "Elk Creek Falls," though it's best viewed in the spring when the flow is high and the woods are green.
