The Former Speaker's Office at Spokane was active from
time Congressman Foley left Congress until he returned
to government service as Ambassador to Japan in late
1997. The files consist of correspondence, reports,
informational files, and a variety of travel and
scheduling records. About half of the material pre-dates
formation of the Former Speaker's Office and is similar
to earlier district office records.
