Forestry and Range Management Department
Records, 1961-1982
Records of the Washington State University Department of Forestry and Range Management were transfered to the University Libraries in 1986 as Accession UA86-23. The records were processed in 1999 by April O'Riley, and the draft inventory was edited to finding aid format by Lawrence Stark in August, 2001.
HISTORY
The field of forestry has a long and complex history at Washington State University, as it was long one of the subjects that the state legislature had designated as for the University of Washington. In the 1960s, however, a degree was approved. Range management was less controversial.
A more complete history is found in the guide to other department records, Archives 37.
