These records were acquired by Bruce G. Harding, University Records Manager, on November 8, 1976 from the files of the Department of Geology in the Physical Sciences Building, Room 1228. Transfer of these files to University Archives is provided by the state retention schedule (GAA53) prepared for that office.
Included in these materials are data relating to the development of the Department and its teaching activities, visiting lecturers, employment opportunities, and several photos of faculty, buildings, and students. There are six "Hollinger boxes" of records requiring three linear feet of shelving.
