Photographs, 1853-1977

The Richard Scheuerman collection of negatives was loaned to the Washington State University Library for copying in March, 1978. The collection was arranged and processed by David Smestad in April, 1978.
BIOGRAPHY
Richard Dean Scheuerman was born on April 18, 1951 and raised near Endicott, Washington. After graduating from Washington State University, he completed the program at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, as a member of the U. S. Air Force, and was awarded a diploma in Russian. With a grant from the Lutheran World Federation, he undertook research at the Centre for the Study of Religion and Communism in London. Currently a candidate for an advanced degree in history from Pacific Lutheran University, Scheuerman is the author of Pilgrims on the Earth: A German-Russian Chronicle (1974).
ARRANGEMENT AND DESCRIPTION
The collection consists of prints made from negatives that were loaned for copying.
