Points of Pride
- With the recent remodel of the CUB, there is now open access between the CUB and the Holland and Terrell Library! As a result, more people are using library resources, spaces and computer equipment and more exhibits are being displayed and viewed in these libraries.
- WSU Libraries are recognized as a national leader in information literacy, which is one of the six goals for WSU’s baccalaureate. WSU Library faculty created an innovative collection of on-line tutorials in information literacy and they work closely with college faculty to choose and teach the appropriate ones for a given class.
- WSU Libraries have taken the lead role in the Northwest Digital Archives by digitizing the history of WSU and the Pacific Northwest. Our growing collection includes photos, oral histories, old newspaper clippings, RKO movies, manuscripts, and personal papers from prominent citizens.
- WSU Libraries house internationally renowned Special Collections, some of which are unique to WSU, such as the personal collection of Virginia Woolf (1882-1941), one of the major literary figures of the twentieth century and author of numerous collections of letters, journals, and short stories.
- WSU Libraries initiated the WSU Research Exchange, which makes articles by faculty, dissertations, and raw data sets visible online so they can be read and cited by other scholars, which also enhances WSU’s reputation.
