WSU Libraries Council
To support world class learning, the Washington State University Libraries Council is committed to building awareness and resources for the Washington State University Libraries.
The WSU Libraries Council helps the Libraries enhance their resources and services to the WSU students, faculty, and staff. Specifically, the Council assists the development efforts of the Libraries in the following way:
- To identify Friends of the Libraries in the Puget Sound area who would contribute financial support to the Libraries;
- To seek out and introduce to the Libraries members of boards whose foundations or corporations would fund proposals from the Libraries;
- To host "Friend-Raising" activities where the Director of the Libraries or her staff could discuss issues and answer questions about the Libraries;
- To assist the Libraries in identifying private collections of books, photos, rare books, manuscripts, and papers;
- To serve as spokespersons for the Libraries, when meeting friends and acquaintances of WSU.
