Remember, a gift to the Libraries benefits everyone at WSU!

  • The WSU Libraries' collections contain over 2 million books, 30,000 journal subscriptions, media, maps, microforms, government publications, electronic databases, manuscripts, archives, and special collections -- to support all of WSU's teaching and research programs. Approximately 35,000 volumes are added to the collection annually.
  • The Libraries offer access to the full text of over 25,800 digital resources, including current journals, books, documents, and databases in electronic format.
  • Griffin, our online catalog, provides access to information about all of our print and electronic collections via the Libraries' homepage -- www.wsulibs.wsu.edu . Last year Griffin logged over 2.6 million visits.
  • We have joined with 33+ other Washington and Oregon academic libraries to create Summit, a joint online catalog that provides access to over 26 million items and offers an online book request service with delivery to WSU library circulation desks.
  • Librarians provide personalized reference assistance to help users identify and locate the most useful information resources for their work. We also offer telephone reference. We teach students how to access, evaluate and use information resources effectively through classes and workshops.
  • Last year 947,842 people walked into the Pullman campus libraries, and over 3.8 million visits were made to The Libraries web site (www.wsulibs.wsu.edu).
  • The 6 Pullman campus libraries have combined professional personnel of 39 librarians and 78 staff. We hire an average of 150 students annually who work up to 20 hours/week.
  • The 6 Pullman campus libraries include:
  • The WSU Libraries belong to the prestigious Association of Research Libraries, an organization of the 124 largest university libraries in North America, and the Greater Western Library Alliance, a consortium of 29 university research libraries from the Midwest to the Pacific coast.
