Evaluating and Assigning Merit Ratings for Library Faculty on Professional Leave

 

1.  Sabbatical Leave

 

  1. Individuals in the Libraries half of the annual review period:
    Assign merit rating based on performance for that half of the year the individual is in the Libraries, on the quality of the submitted proposal, and/or the resulting final report of the proposal.

  2.   Individuals who are absent for the entire annual review year:
     Assign merit rating based on the average of the last two years, taking into account any other information/documentation that is pertinent, including the quality of the submitted proposal.

 

2.  International Development Leave

 

·         Same as above but, if pertinent, also obtain input from the Chief of Party and from personnel in the International Program Development Office on campus responsible to the project.

 

3.  All Other Professional Leave

 

·         Handle as above, whichever fits the case.
