There are a number of ways WSU-Pullman affiliates acquire library materials from off-campus:

1) Griffin - Griffin Catalog includes library materials from WSU's four campuses. If you want to be loaned materials from these collections, find the record for the item, use the "Request Item" button, and follow the instructions. This free service features delivery in two to four days.

2) Summit - Summit, or the Orbis Cascade Alliance Central Catalog, provides access to information from 25+ academic libraries in Washington and Oregon totaling over 22 million items. Anyone may search the SUMMIT catalog on the web at <http://summit.orbiscascade.org/>, and authorized individuals (current students, faculty and staff of participating institutions) may borrow books from any of the libraries (except WSU Energy Library) without a borrowing fee. If you have searched Griffin and the item you want is not available at any WSU location, click on the Search SUMMIT button to look for the same item at another SUMMIT library. Use the View Your Record/ Renewals button on the initial Griffin search screen to track the status of and renew items you are borrowing.

3) Interlibrary Loan (ILL) - If neither Griffin nor Summit have the item(s) you want, you can submit an interlibrary loan request throught ILLiad. ILL provides three levels of service from which to choose:

Level 1 free 7-10 day turnaround
Level 2 $7 per item Within 5 working days
Level 3 $10 per item 2 day rush (photocopies only)

4) University of Idaho Libraries - WSU affiliates have borrowing privileges at the University of Idaho. Although there is no direct shuttling of materials between WSU and UI, many WSU affiliates travel to Moscow to check out library items.

Many WSU affiliates also use the resources found at the Neill Public Library (downtown Pullman) and the Whitman County Library (Colfax)
