UI Students enrolled in cross-listed WSU classes
1. What are the unique needs of this user group?

2. How is this group currently supported by the Libraries?
They can access e-resources onsite if they are on the WSU Pullman campus only.
3. How is this support communicated and promoted to them?
It is not.
4. Does this group have an official liaison from the Libraries?
No.
5. What problems does this group have with accessing library services?
These students are in WSU classes with WSU students, yet they do not have access to the same e-resources that WSU students do. They can access these e-resources only by using public WSU Libraries' computers - not from home or from the UI.
Additional Questions
1. In the WSU and UI agreement on cross listed classes, has WSU agreed to provide library services to support UI students in their WSU classwork? What about the vice versa?
The Provost (I guess she means to ask his Office - actually, I originally started there, but they told me to talk to the Registrar's Office!)
2. How many UI students take WSU classes per semester (average)? In how many different WSU departments?
Ask Institutional Research.
3. Is there a temporary way for those UI students to receive temporary WSU user numbers and codes that would allow them library access? Or would that open the flood gates to students getting other WSU privileges?
Ask Karl Ibsen of our office if he has started on a data transfer system with the U of I.
4. Should we (the library) be discussing this problem with departments or is your office the central one for this dialogue?
The Provost
5. Does the Registrar's Office have any official liaison or contacts within the Libraries? If not, would this be useful?
Karl Ibsen would be good when and if he gets access to the data.
