Temporary Employees at Learning Centers
1. What are the unique needs of this user group?
This group of people are typically timeslip employees who work at the various Learning Centers around the state of Washington. They are potentially in a position to help WSU DDP students with their research and in accessing the libraries.
2. How is this group currently supported by the Libraries?
Presently, they would only be able to access online databases. Because they are not DDP students, they are not eligible for the home delivery of materials.
3. How is this support communicated and promoted to them?
Support has not been communicated to them, and they are probably unaware of their ability to use our databases.
4. Does this group have an official liaison from the Libraries?
There is no official liaison, however from time to time, the Distance Learning working group has contact with the Learning Centers. There is an official listserv for the Learning Centers to which the Distance Learning Librarian is subscribed.
5. What problems does this group with accessing library services?
We do not know what their patron status is, or if they are automatically included in the patron feed to Griffin.
