1. What are the unique needs of this user group?
They require access to all electronic resources from non-WSU machines. They require delivery/return capability from home and from non-WSU library locations. Many do have access to Summit member libraries. Some need technical assistance in understanding how to connect, download, etc.
2. How is this group currently supported by the Libraries?
WSU Vancouver and the Anderson Library at the College of Nursing support them, with access to electronic resources and reference support.
3. How is this support communicated and promoted to them?
Primary communication is via web sites for each library. Faculty teaching courses are provided library-related information for their course syllabi and information documents. They are also provided e-reserve linking information and provision of required readings. In a few cases, faculty invite librarians to present information in specific classes.
4. Does this group have an official liaison from the Libraries?
From Spokane, it's Bob Pringle; from Vancouver it's Leslie Wykoff as the Nursing Liaison although questions about connectivity and searching that come to the WSU Vancouver Library's email, would be answered by those monitoring that email.
5. What problems does this group have with accessing library services?
Most common problems involve lack of knowledge about the libraries, and one-time connectivity and log-in questions.
