Librarian II

I'm the librarian for the following subject areas: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Adjectiveless Engineering. That entails all the usual suspects: buying books and journals, liaison-work, instruction, etc. I also do reference and am responsible for building/maintaining Owen's reference collection.

My title includes "electronic resources" which makes me responsible for trouble-shooting hardware and software for Owen, Fischer, and Health Sciences employees and for the public - if technology goes wrong in the science or health science libraries, I'm the first-line guy. I do the care and feeding of all the Owen/AgSci/HealthSci web pages; and I'm ex-officio to the Web Working Group, where I've been way too active in usability testing for SearchIt! and Griffin, as well as various other web-oriented projects. I'm on the Collections Advisory Working Group, the University Faculty Senate Budget Committee, and am one of WSU's representatives to the Oregon/Washington Summit Libraries consortium (specifically, the Catalog Committee Steering Team). I also answer the "contact us" emails which come to the WSU Libraries as a whole.
