Southeastern Washington Business Information Center

The Southeastern Washington Business Information Center (BIC) in Richland WA is a resource center for all your business startup and development needs, with the assets of the Consolidated Information Center libraries at Washington State University at Tri-Cities.

The BIC is operated for the U.S. Small Business Administration by Business LINKS. Business Links provides assistance to business owners,and also offers access to knowledgeable business counselors, state-of-the art reference library, and computer and video center are also available. The Southeastern Washington BIC is available to help businesses east of the Cascades and south of Spokane in WA state. Some LINKS programs such as SDB Certification are available to any U.S. business. Programs for small businesses in eastern Washington, north of I-90 and east of the Cascades, as well as northern Idaho, are available through the Spokane Business Information Center.

The BIC has the resources for addressing a broad variety of business start-up and development issues. They can provide the tools and advice necessary to help write a comprehensive business plan, evaluate and improve marketing and sales techniques, diversify into new product and/or service areas, price products, or explore procurement opportunities.The research tools and invaluable advice can help your new business get off the ground or help your existing business grow. The Southeastern Washington BIC is located within a state-of-the-art, higher education facility. BIC staff provides instruction and assistance to pre-startup individuals, and consultation and personalized literature search support to local existing small businesses.

The BIC entrepreneurial collection contains hundreds of books, videos and cassette tapes selected by the BIC staff and the SBA especially for our regional businesses. The collection is co-shelved with the WSU collection and is available for public checkout.
