ASSOCIATION HISTORY
The Pacific Northwest Pollution Control Association, originally the Northwest Conference on Stream Pollution, held its first annual meeting in Lewiston, Idaho, on May 15, 1935. The name of the Conference was changed to Pacific Northwest Pollution Control Association in 1959. The records of the Association from 1946 to 1976 were deposited in the Washington State University Libraries in 1977 and 1978 and were arranged and described as Cage 349 in 1978. The inventory for that group includes an extensive historical sketch. The records of the Pacific Northwest Pollution Control Association from 1974-1977 were donated to the Washington State University Libraries in 1979 and processed in 1982 as Cage 465.
